Gabriel M. Kind, M.D. is a plastic surgeon in private practice in San Francisco. He specializes in aesthetic and reconstructive plastic surgery. He graduated with honors from Dartmouth College and received his medical degree from Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago. He then completed a residency in General Surgery at Rush – Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center in Chicago, after which he returned to Northwestern University Medical Center for a residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. After completing his plastic surgery training, Dr. Kind was awarded a one-year fellowship in Hand and Microsurgery at the Davies Medical Center in San Francisco. He was Board Certified in Surgery by the American Board of Surgery, and then became Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He also received Subspecialty Certification in Surgery of the Hand from the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery.

Dr. Kind has had a long interest in microsurgical breast reconstruction and was among the first surgeons to perform the DIEP flap for breast reconstruction on the West Coast. Dr. Kind is an Associate Clinical Professor in Plastic Surgery at the University of California – San Francisco, and is a Director of the American Board of Plastic Surgery.
